Authentic or Faux — My Forsythia Struts Its Stuff

Igot so excited when I rounded the house this weekend to find my forsythia bush blooming! I immediately cut several stems to take the place of the faux flowers I wrote about only days before on my post “Five Tips for Displaying Faux Flowers.”

This cheery card is a perfect way to brighten someone's day. . . complete with a little shaker surprise!

I took an old canning jar, a partial can of off-white spray paint, twine and twigs and quickly whipped up a cute little country-style home decor.

Getting Crafty with the SG Scrap Squad

During this time of cramped quarters and limited outings, I have managed to sneak down to my craft room and get creative from time to time. One of my favorite sources of inspiration has been Scrapbook Generation's weekend mini crops on the SG Scrap Squad Facebook group. Little Boy Stuck Sketches Challenge

I’ve been spending so much time substitute teaching at my son’s school lately that there has been little left over for creative endeavors, but I did manage to squeak out a couple of hours Saturday afternoon to create a fun one-page layout for this month’s Stuck?! sketch challenge. Once again my two favorite boys were my subject matter, so this one was pretty easy with the help of the “Little Boy” kit by Crystal Wilkerson. Since I had two 4×6 photos already printed, my page is a little larger than the Stuck sketches inspiration but it still has a similar feel. I like all the fun colors and patterns in this kit and can’t wait…
