I am so excited to share our latest home improvement project with all of you. While my husband may argue that it isn’t really an improvement, I am simply in love with our new farm-inspired slamming screen door! I have had designs on this door for over eight years now and with the completion of several other porch projects, it was finally time to see (and hear) this baby do its thing.

My Babies Aren’t Chicks Anymore
Our “babies” finally spent the night outside with the big girls this week, and everyone is still clucking, so I guess we will count it a success. We had been slowly acclimating the four youngsters to the older hens by letting them spend most of their days outdoors, but we were also gathering them up at night to nestle safely into their basement abode.
It’s Time for a Painting
Yup, that photo means it’s time for a painting! After seven years in our baby puke brown house, we are finally ready to give it a face lift. My husband and I have never cared for the color, but it was freshly painted before we purchased it and frankly we just didn’t think a color change was top priority.
