    What I really sat down to write about (because it I need and want to write! It has been way too long), was to tell you all about these fun little puff pastries I made for yesterday's Independence Day party.     Milk-Free, Fizzy Water Pancakes

    It has a busy season (as usual) at the Three-Acre Wood and I’m quickly becoming thankful for the slower pace of this year’s Thanksgiving festivities.     Summertime Tomato Cucumber Salad

    Today was the last full day of summer for this crazy year, and we have been enjoying the final fruits (or vegetables as it were) of our petite backyard garden. One of my favorite fresh summertime meals is a cucumber tomato salad. Usually I just thrown in a bit of this and a dash of that and call it good, but this time I wrote it down just so I could share the recipe with my readers, and of course, save it for myself.
