Authentic or Faux — My Forsythia Struts Its Stuff

Igot so excited when I rounded the house this weekend to find my forsythia bush blooming! I immediately cut several stems to take the place of the faux flowers I wrote about only days before on my post “Five Tips for Displaying Faux Flowers.”

This cheery card is a perfect way to brighten someone's day. . . complete with a little shaker surprise!

Country Cuteness from Mom’s Garage

I took an old canning jar, a partial can of off-white spray paint, twine and twigs and quickly whipped up a cute little country-style home decor.

    Dash of Spring on a Gray Fall Day

    I need to get my card-making mojo back because this simple sketch took four tries to produce something that cut the mustard. Sometimes that happens when I have fewer constraints. Somehow it’s harder to focus on one idea when the sky is the limit. Still, I managed to create a cute little spring inspired card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketch challenge, which helped ward off today’s gray sky blues. I used Simple Stories’ Vintage Bliss 6×6 paper stack for this card and flipped the sketch on its side.     Heart-Shaped Cut Out Card — A Plan Comes Together

    I’m back this week with another card creation, and this time I combined an original cut file with a Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I love it when a plan comes together. As soon as I saw this week’s challenge sketch, I knew I wanted to create a heart-shaped cut out card and that’s when I got the idea to create a whole card base in Illustrator, convert it to a svg cut file and let my Cricut machine do the rest.
