Authentic or Faux — My Forsythia Struts Its Stuff

Igot so excited when I rounded the house this weekend to find my forsythia bush blooming! I immediately cut several stems to take the place of the faux flowers I wrote about only days before on my post “Five Tips for Displaying Faux Flowers.”

This cheery card is a perfect way to brighten someone's day. . . complete with a little shaker surprise!

Country Cuteness from Mom’s Garage

I took an old canning jar, a partial can of off-white spray paint, twine and twigs and quickly whipped up a cute little country-style home decor.

    Saturday Sparks: Good Gardens

Spring has been arriving at an excruciatingly slow pace this year but I think warmer weather is finely in sight. Let me tell ya, I’m itching to get out in the garden! I purchased some seeds and tomato plants last night, hubby has the garden spot tilled for planting  and I’m all about some outdoor inspiration. So this week’s Saturday Sparks is dedicated to a few good gardens. I hope you get your hands dirty!

    Getting the Garden Going

I finally found a break in the rain and my schedule to get the garden going yesterday. My husband has handed over the veggies to me this year, but he was kind enough to rototill and prep the ground for me before the rains came pouring in during the last couple of weeks. So when the sun popped out yesterday, I donned my rubber boots, grabbed the hoe and put a few seeds in the ground. So here is what’s planted thus far. Radishes, green onions, lettuce and spinach. We did get potatoes and large onions in before St. Patrick’s Day, but they are in large pots instead of the garden. I also have green bean…
