Authentic or Faux — My Forsythia Struts Its Stuff

Igot so excited when I rounded the house this weekend to find my forsythia bush blooming! I immediately cut several stems to take the place of the faux flowers I wrote about only days before on my post “Five Tips for Displaying Faux Flowers.”

This cheery card is a perfect way to brighten someone's day. . . complete with a little shaker surprise!

    If you are like me and so many other Americans in this country, you will be spending a bit of time surrounded by lots of family (for better or worse) in the very near future. Since Thanksgiving is not adorned with loads of decorations and gift giving, I always think it is nice to somehow bring a touch of specialness to the occasion (as if all that yummy food wasn’t special enough).     Thanks a Latte Kind of Day

    I recently wanted to say a word of thanks to some ladies with whom I volunteer because they helped see me through a rather rough couple of months. Without their support, I might have just thrown in the towel and walked away from an awesome organization. So as a small token, I bought each of them a coffee gift certificate (just can’t go wrong with that one — if they don’t like coffee, they can order tea or just eat a muffin already).
