Authentic or Faux — My Forsythia Struts Its Stuff

Igot so excited when I rounded the house this weekend to find my forsythia bush blooming! I immediately cut several stems to take the place of the faux flowers I wrote about only days before on my post “Five Tips for Displaying Faux Flowers.”

This cheery card is a perfect way to brighten someone's day. . . complete with a little shaker surprise!

    My Shock and Shame Gallery Wall

    It’s so funny these days when I have a friend over that hasn’t been to my house in months. Without fail, and usually when they are putting on their coats and turning around to leave, each of my guests will stop, look, and exclaim, “You put pictures in your frames!” This sight to behold of which they speak is the gallery wall I finished in my hallway/living room.     Capturing a Few Spring Blooms

    The daffodils finally bloomed last week, along with the forsythia and lone pear tree in our yard; so I took a few moments to snap some pictures while my son played away in the bright afternoon sun. I noticed as we spent the Easter weekend down south in Arkansas that most of their daffodils had already spent themselves, but we saw some beautiful forsythia along the way.
