Authentic or Faux — My Forsythia Struts Its Stuff

I got so excited when I rounded the house this weekend to find my forsythia bush blooming! I immediately cut several stems to take the place of the faux flowers I wrote about only days before on my post “Five Tips for Displaying Faux Flowers.”

I did get tickled when I almost put the fake stems back in the pitcher instead of the real ones. Seriously, I had to do a double take. While I can definitely see the difference between the two when trying, I thought this little hiccup was a great way to illustrate my choice of picking wisely when going faux. What better way to demonstrate that fake forsythia are a good option if you don’t own a flowering plant of your own.

These are the believable but bogus blooms.
