Be(e) Mine Valentine

Be(e) Mine Valentine

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner; and if you’re looking for a bit of homemade inspiration, I hope you will take a quick peek at my latest card creation. I love hexagons, but it’s always hard for me to see a group of them without thinking beehives and bees. Hence, the “Be(e) Mine” sentiment.

Saturday Sparks: Quick & Easy Valentine Decorations

I seriously cannot believe that February begins next week! I have no idea where January went, but I do know that Spring is almost one month closer to bursting out all over the place. . . and this is definitely a good thing.

As February arrives, I always think of red, pink and loving things because Valentine’s Day is a very hard holiday to miss (oh, and of course my big sister’s birthday is this month; although she surely doesn’t expect all of you to celebrate that too). Since Valentine’s Day falls in the middle of the month and January is reserved for all things snowy and cold, I don’t usually go to a huge amount of effort decorating the house with hearts and bows. I do like a touch of color and a few happy heart greetings, but easy Valentine decorations are definitely the plan. With this in mind I gathered several Pins that should be quick and easy to make at home, so hopefully you will see something that inspires you.

Love Hands Kid Craft With Free Printable

kid craft

I whipped up a cute little template for the young kids at church last week and thought the craft turned out so cute that I wanted to share the free printable here at Small Talk Mama.

I thought the little ones did such a good job with this kid craft that I asked my son to create one for me, and he kindly humored me one morning before school. I just never know if he will or he won’t from one minute to the next these days. He is so on the verge of being a “big boy,” but I just keep wishing he won’t grow up. Anyway, I was ecstatic with the finished product and can’t wait to frame this sweet keepsake just in time for Valentine’s Day.

You can download and/or print the free template here to create your own personalized version. Simply print the file on whatever type of 8.5 x 11″ paper you like, dip your child’s hand in paint or brush it on and place the hand on the paper in the spot where the “O” should go. After the paint dries, you can easily frame this family keepsake and treasure it forever. It’s so easy, you can make one for grandma too!
